Appalachian Snapshots

What is an “Appalachian Snapshot?”
Along with the searchable Data Bank, the Appalachian Center has developed a new tool for the analysis of socio-economic trends in the region: the Appalachian Snapshot.  Appalachian Snapshots are arranged by topic, and provide a closer look at key data points and trends in Appalachia. Several measures are used to analyze a particular topic, and data are broken down by region.  Appalachian Snapshots examine current trends as well as change over time, so that progress can be measured and evaluated.  Examples of snapshot topics include Poverty, Educational Attainment, Employment, and Economic Structure.
